I wouldn't pay too much attention to what you read on internet forums, read it but download the demos and look primarily at your own experience. There's a couple small bugs occasionally but the Izotope plugins have been amongs my most stable and trustworthy. License-transfers are allowed and they have no fees. If I could only use the plugins of one single Native company it would be Izotope's plugins, cause simply put their plugins just fit what I do sonicly and workflow-wise and copy-protection-wise. Izotope are a brilliant and innovative company when you look at things like their all-in-one-designs, MicroEdit or the Artificial-Intelligence in Neutron. I'm crazy about their plugins and would hate to have to make music without them. Distort, mangle, and transform audio with the next generation of Trash Cambridge, MA (November 20, 2012) iZotope, Inc., a leading innovator in digital. I own and love many of their plugins, most in the two big bundles I bought wich are Music Production Bundle 2 and Creative Bundle as well as their older plugin Spectron. They are the kings at all-in-one channel strips. IMO Izotope makes the best Native plugins. But with any new Izotope plugin I would be skeptical with it and read the reviews to see if there are any downfalls. On the flip side, their other plugins are very nice. They said they are completely done with Breaktweaker and have moved on. So many people have asked if they will just release a version 2 with the desperately needed redesign and they won't. It's dumbfounding how they could release such a cool plugin that is so unintuitive. It could've actually been great, but they totally blew it. Maybe they haven't updated Stutter Edit in a while but, really, is that a big deal?Apparently you've not played with Breaktweaker. That happened over a year ago so it is time to move on if that is the issue. Maybe they are still bitching about the transition from Iris 1.0 to Iris 2.0 which was a disaster.
They also provide updates to the stuff I use primarily which are the plugins associated with the Ozone Advanced suite. Izotope made it very straightforward so that was stress free.
Needless to say, transferring all my software is a total nightmare. I am currently in the process of completely changing over PC's in my music studio.
